It was a Catholic wedding done outdoor and heard that the officiating priest was given permission to do it in a garden. It seems like a civil wedding but complete with the processional march, bridal march, marriage vows and a combination of Catholic and Christian music and the usual declaraion of marriage done in a Christian way.

The wedding ceremony was a touching one with careful choices of words delivered by the priest, meaningful and felt by the couple and both relatives of the groom and the bride. It was an intimate celebration of about hundred guests with close friends and some Americans who came far to grace such a momentous affair.

Music list for both ceremony and reception was delivered by members of Augustine Music and Events doing the requested music of the couple like Runaway during the processional march and From This Moment for the bridal march. They were so wonderful to watch and really happy being together. The groom has that silent charm and palpable breeding and the young bride exudes that childish demeanor and fun-loving nature.

Being the program host for the prepared wedding reception program, I followed it to the T and had fun doing so. I enjoyed the part where the couple wanted to involve some guests and opted for a trivia game where the first ones to hand me the thing asked, the winner got special token from the couple. I did three of those. Also, when I asked the groom to dance a sexy dance proceeding to the bride for the garter removal and he did. I also enjoyed the moment with the chosen luckiest lady from the game and being an American, she obliged to everything I asked her to do. Such fun. It was a casual program flow and intended doing it for mere fun.

The best part of it all is that nobody left until the program was done. There was an open bar and most guests got their drinks. It was open, so they kept asking for more and I had four Sangria drink and Orange Raspberry. It perked me in some manner but made me up to my toes.

The good thing about wedding receptions is the meeting of old and new friends, of course not discounting the presence of mostly relatives from far and near joining the wonderful bash and enjoying the moment with the newlyweds.

For me, performing for a wedding seems therapy. It erases boredom temporarily and merely sharing joy during the wedding ceremony and reception with wedding music and songs is enough to say that we are dedicated performers.

Well, complimenting the beauty of a piano piece is the violin that adds drama to a music sheet as interpreted. The soft tones make everybody relaxed as the wedding ceremony progresses.

Musicians in the Philippines love being involved with weddings. It is an avenue to showcase a single talent or as a group. Violin music by a solo violinist can make beautiful music but being with the group comprising a string quartet can do the best wedding music ever. Philippine musicians don’t do only Filipino music but more on foreign music that keeps building. Foreign songs and music top the music list – some are forgotten and more remain and imitated and performed most by Filipinos. But the beauty of Philippine music is for the Filipinos remain in their hearts.

Popular songs are vast these days and choosing what is best for a wedding is harder to include for a music list but the old romantic songs and music are easy to find, mostly on the net because they stood the test of time. Their melodies are universal. Their messages are apt for people in love. The tune is eternal.

It was a brief Christian Wedding Ceremony having their personal wedding vows exchanged. There was no music background during the ceremony and mostly words of wisdom from the pastor. It took them 30 minutes to finish.

The wedding reception started exactly at 6 pm and after they were introduced proceeded to the dance floor and did the traditional first dance to the music of “now and forever.”  And after that brief moment I let them do the wedding traditions of cutting the cake, wedding toast and dove release.

Before dinner, some acknowledgement was made and a fervent prayer was done by the pastor. Popular mp3 music was provided during dinner and a song from a friend was rendered followed by another doing a classic Filipino song to the guests’ delight.

One of the touching moments of the wedding reception was during the ceremonial toast where a best friend delivered a love poem for both with that sincere British accent. He made that for both and I find it fascinating. Wedding poetry is now becoming an in thing.

They opted not to do the traditional wedding game but introduced two male young couple who are also planning to tie knot as the men of the hour. A romantic song was played and the pairs danced, instead. I found it so touching and thought that love really spreads good tidings.

A message of thanks were said by both and after their sincere words for all of us, a dance party started that lasted for more than an hour straight.

A simple wedding reception program was prepared but to me this is one of the best weddings I’ve attended – no pretentions, no malice and most of all, another exciting Philippine wedding destination experience.

Coming in past 10 in the morning, a huge spread of suppliers with resplendent displays made my day. And guests were coming in droves from near and far. Almost all top suppliers were around to show their works of art and expertise to my delight unknowingly that all exhibitors have that gift of creations and vast artistry in any field. Some exhibitors got bigger booths because their extensive materials had to be spread out for guests to appreciate and crave for. More got the ideal sizes for the purpose of being a part of the big affair by Weddings and Beyond.

I had fun handing out my printed materials with genuine smile on my face and able to talk to some guests asking prices for out-of-town-services. Many came from the provinces to explore a wide range of wedding and debut needs. I observed that many will be wed in Tagayatay and others parts of Batangas. Yes, they drove to Manila to discover their needs and they were not dismayed. Everything they wanted was around and for sure they went back home with ease on their minds because they’ve found what they really wanted and discoveries.

The sad part was exceptional wedding musicians  of Augustine Music and Events were not able to showcase their artistry on stage because of previous wedding booking that needed their presence and sadly regretted because Regine of Weddings and Beyond wanted us to perform and if only I had the nerve to perform solo being a vocalist but wanted a back-up musicians to be more effective for such a command performance. Anyway, I enjoyed listening to some but enjoyed the crowd more.

Well, the organizer of the event has other exhibitions in the coming months and I just want to express my delight for that sincere task to help wedding and debut suppliers expand their horizons and I know I can, too. What can I say but the old cliché – CONGRATULATIONS AND MORE POWER!

Everything that is good comes from God and disputing this is likened to a devil trying to confuse the rest but still good triumphs over bad. That God is everywhere like the ether is to the internet. It’s difficult to explain existence but there you are enjoying what is shared asking not how it is given. You just accept because it is good for you.

The internet opened the greatest evolution of sharing, sharing what is possible and the impossible to think about. Well, inventions come from God – all knowledge therein and if you dig into explanations you’ll end up to the dark. Still, the internet is the greatest invention of all time.

Be happy people for all burdens from tasks are diminished and everybody now is aware of the great help afforded from it. Almost all are accessed to your mind’s delight and ease. It is giving you more time to indulge on other things for luxury of time exceeds.

Just the touch of your finger brings you the whole world. The world wide web opens for your eyes to feast sometimes reminding oneself that there is really a God. You are now beginning to realize that there are people who are willing to share in manner that fits from the orbits of mind.

Others claim that the internet is a work of the devil and disguised as sign of doom. How can they say doom when in fact they get their false belief from writings of pretenders. Everything can be written about because it comes from the mind. It comes from what someone believes and shares it that befits honesty as accorded. When someone puts something in paper begins the workings of the mind. As they say, mind is God. Confusing, isn’t it? But here we are creatures of different level of understanding that makes a colorful intervention.

If thinking on the brighter side brings light then nothing puzzles you. Knowledge is power and it comes from collective information. Diverse it may seem but contributes to challenge the mind to exit to what is right and good. And if it is good, it is from ABOVE.
